Product details
The Homematic IP radiator thermostat - basic is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and actively helps save energy. This smart controller replaces conventional radiator thermostats, allowing for energy savings of up to 30%.
The thermostat is mounted on the radiator without any intervention in the heating system and without tools. It is powered by two AA batteries, which can provide energy for approximately 2 years. Thanks to its pre-set heating profile, the radiator thermostat is ready to use immediately - this can be manually adjusted at any time if needed. Individual temperature profiles with up to 13 changes per day are possible, allowing Homematic IP to heat specific rooms only when there is a real need.
Setup can be done flexibly on the device itself, via the Homematic IP app (in conjunction with the Homematic IP Access Point), or through a browser-based interface (in conjunction with a CCU2/CCU3 central unit). Alternatively, the smart thermostat can also operate without a central unit: the stand-alone operation (Push-to-Pair) allows for the direct pairing of up to eight window and door contacts with magnets (HmIP-SWDM) to automatically lower the room temperature when ventilating.
Through the app, the radiator thermostat can be integrated into a comprehensive smart home system. The cloud solution allows for temperature adjustments at any time from anywhere. For those who prefer to keep their data local within their home network but still want to benefit from the advantages of a smart home system, setup via the CCU3 central unit is available.
