Fondue is fascinating and complex in both form and function. There are many different types of fondue, which vary to a greater or lesser extent and are rooted in the respective regional cultures. What they all have in common is the principle: a pot is placed on a heat source and then positioned directly on the table.
Designer Stefano Giovannoni has created a series centred around the Mami fondue set for Alessi to meet the various requirements. The series includes everything a connoisseur's heart desires and offers an all-round carefree package for a cosy fondue evening.
Fondue Bourguignonne is a special meat fondue that originated in the French region of Burgundy. However, the Bourguignonne set is also suitable for all other types of fondue. However, the stainless steel pot conducts the heat more easily than its ceramic counterpart. The ceramic fondue pan really comes into its own with cheese or chocolate fondue.
The individual parts of the series can be easily combined with each other. The sturdy frame holds both the stainless steel and ceramic pots. The burner, which can be operated with special fuel paste and alcohol, heats both pans to the required temperature.
Two different forks are also available to fully meet your requirements: the bourguignonne forks have two prongs and are therefore ideal for meat. The fondue forks have three prongs and are perfect for cheese or chocolate.
The fondue set, stainless steel and ceramic bowls, bourguignonne forks, fondue forks and a single pot for fondue and bourguignonne are also available from Mami on request.
