Product details
Büchner's drama "Woyzeck", which appeared in 1876, has survived in three handwritten fragments. It is about the soldier Woyzeck, who tries to support his girlfriend Marie and their joint child and is abused as a test subject by a doctor and his superior. When he learns that Marie is cheating on him, he kills her. The work is one of the most widely read and performed texts in dramatic world literature. It had an impact on the history of 20th century poetry like no other 19th century play.
