Student research project from 2005 in the Department of Health Sciences, grade: 1.7, Alice-Salomon University of Applied Sciences Berlin, Event: Health Policy, 6 sources in bibliography, Language: German, Abstract: The need for reform for sustainable financing of services in the health care system according to the German Social Code Book V (SGB V) is contrasted by constantly increasing expenditures and their short- to medium-term capping by SHI modernization laws. In the run-up to the last health care reform, which came into force in 2007, various models were developed which were praised by the advocates as promising for the future. The camp of the discussants was divided: some favoured the model of the head premium, others favoured a citizens' insurance. Which model is fit for the future? What are the points of criticism of the models? The following article would like to discuss both.
