A central innovation in the LehrplanPLUS is the consistent competence orientation. It is consistently implemented in "Das Mathebuch". Above all, process-related competencies such as reasoning, communicating and problem solving play a major role in "Das Mathebuch". In "Das Mathebuch", the various competencies required in the area of factual arithmetic are worked on with the children continuously and step by step from grade 1 onwards. In the area of geometry, emphasis is placed on promoting spatial skills. Mastering these skills is an important basis for successful mathematics learning.
