Messermachen für Anfänger

In this workshop volume, Dirk Burmester and Stefan Steigerwald show you how to build a fixed knife yourself. It starts with the design on paper and continues with the filing of a blade and the assembly and fine grinding of the handle to the finished knife. You will learn how to make two different types of fixed knives: Flat knives and stick knives. From each design principle a knife is built completely from A to Z. You don't need any previous training or large workshop equipment to copy them. A few simple tools are quite sufficient. Every step is explained in words and pictures in an easily understandable way. This makes this volume ideal for beginners to the hobby of knifemaking.
