Curriculum reference: Baden-Württemberg, concept: The textbook is based on the current curriculum for the vocational college II, and the authors have deliberately ensured that the specified competences are covered in full and comprehensively, so that no additional materials are required outside of the book. Teachers have sufficient didactic freedom to take their own specialisms or regional characteristics into account. The main chapters are preceded by learning situations to enable pupils to carry out business activities independently, cooperatively and in a customer-oriented manner within the framework of entrepreneurial objectives. At the end of each situation, there are also specific competence-promoting work assignments which, embedded in the situational context, promote the various dimensions of action competence. One of the aims of the problem-based learning situations is to incorporate the students' real-life situations so that subject-specific and interdisciplinary competences can be linked more easily. Furthermore, the learning situations allow for individualised learning paths and enable pupils to produce concrete action and learning outcomes both through their own actions and in cooperation with each other and to subsequently reflect on their chosen learning paths. At the end of each chapter there is a comprehensive skills training programme. This essentially contains complex and realistic problems, taking into account the learner's world of experience. The skills training primarily serves to promote self-directed learning and active learner participation.
