Manifest des evolutionären Humanismus

We live in a time of asynchronous development: While we are technologically in the 21st century, our worldviews are still largely shaped by millennia-old myths. This combination of cutting-edge technical expertise and naive childlike belief could have fatal consequences in the long run. In light of the dangers arising from the resurgence of uncritical thinking in a technologically advanced age, the manifesto of evolutionary humanism outlines a secular counter-position that aligns with the often disillusioning results of (natural) scientific research. In this way, the manifesto not only provides a concise summary of the fundamental positions of a "contemporary enlightenment," but it also serves as a strong plea for an "alternative political cultural framework" that draws on the best traditions of science, philosophy, and art to defend the unfinished project of an enlightened society against its enemies.
