Product details
Erich Mendelsohn (1887–1953) is one of the most versatile architects of the 20th century. His work combines the contrasts of organic and rational building, technological innovation and a regionalist approach, individual form and universal expression. Even after his emigration from Germany in 1933, through England and Palestine to the USA, he remains influential to this day.
The comprehensive monograph documents all 70 known, realized buildings by Mendelsohn in text and images. It also addresses unbuilt projects in two essays. A newly compiled catalog lists all of his works. Numerous new photographs by Carsten Krohn, newly drawn plans, and historical illustrations enrich the publication.
