The course book provides a wealth of information about life in Switzerland. It is suitable for group learning with an instructor. With "German in Switzerland," learners will not only understand, speak, and write High German but also grasp some Swiss German. The book directly follows the level band "German in Switzerland A1." In 10 units, participants will engage with everyday topics such as work, housing, household, and leisure, learning the language through real-life examples like scheduling a doctor's appointment. The course book also includes all the answers to the exercises in the book, as well as transcriptions of all audio texts and a grammar overview for each unit. The two accompanying audio CDs in the course book feature listening texts in both High German and Swiss German. They are suitable for both the language course and for reviewing the texts at home.
