G-Shock Ga-100-1a1er
Digital watch, Analogue wristwatch, 51.20 mm
A typical G-Shock as we like them: massive, almost 'armored' with everything, the usual functions ...
Unfortunately the display is very weak. The various indications on the dial, especially those appearing in the small windows, are only clearly visible in full light (artificial or natural). In the shade, you can't see anything at all except the two large white hands. Moreover, in the dark, the LED is particularly ineffective and the two hands can hardly be seen. The other functions of the watch become unusable.
A pity. A black-on-white/gray display would probably improve this defect.
Since I have understood how to use it, I have been completely satisfied. The watch is very robust and the glass is also very scratch-resistant. After a year on the construction site, the glass has hardly scratched at all (although I have sometimes taken it off when cutting with a cutting disc and on very stony employees, but no more than 10 times in total). If someone is looking for a robust watch that should still look good after a year of use, this is certainly a good choice. The battery is still the first. The only "downside" is that it's rather chunky, but if you like that, it's a recommendable product as far as I'm concerned. Fun fact: The dial light can be used as a torch in an emergency if you need to look for something at short range.
