Vermiculite absorbs waterlogging and thus efficiently counteracts moulding of the soil. Thanks to vermiculite, rotting of the root system due to too much moisture is prevented. Vermiculite has a neutral pH value of approx. 7.0.

Vermiculite fill is a natural mineral, which means it does not rot and is frost and temperature resistant.
The aggregate has a fine capillary material structure, which offers absolute advantages especially in horticulture and plant cultivation:

- Suitable water reservoir
- Nutrient store
- Air reservoir

Floragard Vermiculite is a granulate in various grain structures, from 2-3 mm in diameter. This grain size regulates the even release of nutrients and ensures improved growth. Thousands of air pores create a loosening or aeration effect. This natural loosening effect ensures better formation of the plants' root system.

Vermiculite is a suitable insulator. It therefore prevents the soil from cooling down quickly. Especially heat-sensitive vegetables and flowers thrive optimally on vermiculite. It is also used for storing fruit and vegetables.
