New subject requirements have been in effect in Schleswig-Holstein since the beginning of the 2016/2017 school year. In line with this, we have designed the series Discover History &ndash, Schleswig-Holstein edition for grammar schools and community schools.
Learning-oriented, competence-oriented, multi-perspective and tailor-made &ndash, these are the principles on which the new books are based:

• The clear structure and the clear division into teaching units make it easier to find one's way around the book and allow for versatile use in the classroom and for preparation and follow-up work.

• Attractive opening pages with pictures and interesting texts arouse curiosity about the contents and encourage questions.

• Overview pages with maps and timelines provide an initial orientation in time and space.

• The author's texts, choice of materials and work suggestions enable integrative skills training as well as action-oriented and differentiated teaching.

• Exemplary method pages promote the independent development and repetition of subject-specific working techniques.

• All texts, materials and questions are selected and prepared for the purpose of progression and networking.

• To read on&ldquo,: Youth book excerpts encourage historical interest and the joy of reading.

• Contemporary and regional historical traits take into account the pupils' everyday experiences and interests.

• Double-page spreads ensure basic knowledge, test the acquired skills and illustrate connections up to the present day.

• The subject didactic model, which forms the basis of the subject requirements, is constantly run through with precisely fitting material.
