Question Does the light switch off when the PC is shut down or not?
As long as the PC is connected to the power cable, even if the PC has been switched off, the keyboard as well as the mouse will start to light up when a key is touched. Surely this also depends on the USB power settings on the computer.
With my HP notebook, the keyboard switches off after shutting down. However, I have not made any special settings on the notebook (BIOS, etc.).
The light continues to shine even after the PC is disconnected from the mains (plutonium use ;-) ).
In theory, the light switches off because the voltage at the USB socket drops. However, there are powered USB sockets that provide continuous power even when the PC is shut down. You can configure these via the BIOS.
