Question about Gigaset Dx800a

What does interconnect mean? As an IP phone, it can be connected to a network via LAN. Then it depends on what kind of router is working in the network. In my case it is a Fritzbox. I can configure several phones there and I can then make internal calls from one phone to the other. I only have a DX800a. But when I log on to my network with my iPhone via WLAN or externally via VPN, I also have two phones in the network. So if interconnecting means that one phone can call the other internally, then that works. Whether both phones ring when a call is made depends on whether both phones are registered for the same external number.

I have now been able to solve the problem. I asked Gigaset directly and they kindly called me and helped as much as they could. I have three phone numbers (1x main line and 2x additional numbers per employee) and wanted the main number to ring on both devices and the others on each device. In addition, these should be connected so that a call could be forwarded internally or taken over accordingly. I have now been able to solve the whole thing via IP telephony. The main point was that I had to create 4 SIP accounts instead of only 3, i.e. 2 for the main number and one for each phone number. The transfer and takeover works with Swisscom with the KMU office but not with a private connection (inone home). So I could implement everything accordingly without the devices being directly connected (internal key does not work). However, I can assign internal numbers to the router and thus also communicate internally or transfer a call internally or externally. Via the two SIP accounts, it rings on both telephones and furthermore, it can be set at Swisscom in the customer centre what happens when the line is busy. If an employee is busy and is called directly, it rings on the main number and the other employee can take the call.
