As soon as you use the 2.5 gbe connection it permanently cuts the connection and in the syslog you can see how eth0 is permanently reactivated.

I can confirm this. Salt Fiber Box only runs reliably if you use one (or two) of the 1GB/s connections.

Answer

The firmware 3.0.0.4.386_46061 solves the problem. It is only difficult to update because the device constantly loses the connection (30% package drop).

Workarounds:

1. connect a GBit switch between the ASUS ZenWiFi and the DMS-106XT.
2. connect a laptop to the 3 LAN ports of the ASUS ZenWiFi (i.e. from "inside"), start the Web UI, enable SSH (Administration -> System -> Enable SSH: LAN&WAN), log in via SSH as root, and then switch to GBit Ethernet with the following command:

ethctl eth0 media-type 1000FD

Control:

ethctl eth0 media-type

Important: The command displays the status from before. So if you change from 2500FD to GBit Ethernet, you will see "Link is Up at Speed: 2.5G, Duplex: FD".

This is temporary until the next reboot.
