Active cooling allows the Le Grand Macho RT to achieve a cooling performance of up to 280 watts TDP. The Le Grand Macho RT is approximately 3 mm shorter than a Macho, making it suitable for cases where a Macho would be too tall. The asymmetrical heatsink design provides maximum compatibility with current motherboards. Visually, the Le Grand Macho blends in with other members of the Macho family and offers a particularly elegant appearance thanks to nickel-plated heat pipes combined with the black anodized top fin. A highlight of the Le Grand Macho RT is its exceptionally quiet fan. The cooler comes standard with the temperature-controlled fan TY 147 B (PWM). With a speed range of 300 to 1,300 RPM, the TY 147 B is particularly low in noise. In normal operation, the Le Grand is practically inaudible. The aluminum cooling fins are equipped with multiple air holes to prevent air stagnation between the individual fins. The special design of the aluminum fins also achieves particularly low air resistance. The oval air channel in the center of the cooler ensures controlled air turbulence within the heatsink, allowing for even more effective heat dissipation. The heatsink is oriented towards the back wall of the case, so there are no concerns about incompatibilities when using memory modules with tall heat spreaders, despite the impressive dimensions of the cooler. Additionally, the cooler benefits from the airflow generated by the typically present rear case fan.
