Looks like I got a bad unit, and Hisense has QA gaps*. My projector produces high pitch noise when laser is on - clearly audible in the whole room, annoying from 3-4m viewing distance. Base noise when laser is temporarily off (due to object detected on the way) is fine, and much lower frequency. It gets worse with high luminance and brighter modes, but even with lowest brightness it's not acceptable for me, unless I use noise cancelling headphones.
Found a thread on reddit confirming it's a known issue of some units, and someone got a good replacement after 4w, but also some replacements are bad... I reported defect and hope to get a good replacement faster. Formovie Theater seems dated as a more expensive alternative, and need to ship from DE.
* Unless it's due to careless handling of packages by delivery. My package was picked up with one hand, and delivered vertically... Who does that?

Was set up quickly.
Initially the picture was too bright, the colour settings had no effect. Called Hisense support, who cleared the cache, left the projector switched off for 30 minutes, after which the colours could be corrected via the colour settings. Now we are super happy.

I'm extremely satisfied with this UST projector, which can achieve very interesting projection sizes, with a minimal footprint for the performance it offers. I find it very quiet and responsive, and easy to set up too. After 6 months of use, I can highly recommend it.
