! strap from the picture is not the original one the same with watch face!
After 3 years with Garmin fenix 6s pro i decided it’s time for a change… previous one was a little too small for my 17cm wrist… this one is a little too big… but I think it's a better size from these 2
It is way faster, screen looks much better but it is harder to read without backlight indoors...
I also change watch strap to some cheap nylon one from Amazon (5g instead of 25g) ( SU-22mm-Fenix 7-HHNL-1 ) (on the picture)
FAQ:
1) why didn't you buy Epix2 pro?
because this type of screen is way better outdoors especially when mounted on the bike
2) why not sapphire version?
mostly because this one had a good price and was the only one available on Digitec. But I must say that after 3 years with my old watch I do not have a single visible scratch so Gorilla glass should be good enough... (but this one is heavier :( )
3) why not Apple watch Ultra
because it looks terrible and has almost no battery life
4) why not Fenix 7s pro
I wanted bigger screen and better battery life
5) how much time did you spent online deciding which watch to buy?
;( way too much
Update after 8 weeks or so:
flashlight.... I will never buy a watch without it... it is so extremely useful.

Good sports watch, with all the features that one would expect/require from a device like that. Would 100% recommend. Also price is ok (paid chf 510).
As a former Apple watch user, the Fenix is light years away from it.
Connection to Garmin connect is a must.
It is bulky, so it may look like you are wearing a monstrosity if you’re not used to it.
The LED light is just perfect to go pee pee at night.

My Fenix 3 still works like on the first day - after 8 years! the upgrade to a used Fenix 7 Pro for 480.-- is therefore a luxury problem, but I am super satisfied because from 3 to 7 Pro there was a lot of innovation - in sensors, hardware, battery, display.... Buy it - but be sensible - an upgrade from Fenix ~5 is probably not worth it.
little innovation from 3 to 7 is the software. This is not super important for such adventure watches: but a little more smart-watch feeling would be nice e.g. (google) maps navigation or daily use apps (telegram, homeassistant, sbb...). By 'software weakness' I mean "bugs" which I already have with Fenix3. e.g. you can't take your bike to the pool, record a swim and then continue to record the day's bike trip. Especially not overnight, otherwise the sleep rhythm cannot be recorded
Garmin Connect and the portal would have more potential - nothing clever has happened in 8 years. I hate golf, I don't understand why it is implemented so prominently on Garmin Connect. - But yes, that's actually the topic of the watch.
Hint: the Fenix 7X is the same size as the Fenix3. but since it was always a bit cumbersome with pullover sleeves&co, I don't regret the 'downgrade' to 47mm at all.

Had various Forerunner models before the Fenix. Feels extremely high-quality. Extremely attractive price compared to the Fenix 8. Solar extends battery life, but cannot "recharge". MIP display absolutely top, always readable without having to have AMOLED always-on display on all the time. Recommended purchase for 2025!
