I switched from Swisscom to Galaxus Mobile a month ago and the reception is absolutely subterranean in comparison. I live in a large town with very good mobile coverage, but I often have no reception, especially indoors. Now I have no reception at all in Migros and Ottos, and in Coop I only have some reception at the very front of the checkout. This is very annoying when shopping, because you can't quickly ask at home if you need anything else, and shopping apps no longer work.
Reception is also very poor in many regions outside the conurbations. Recently, while hiking, we met an elderly woman who had fallen and probably broken her leg. I wanted to call the ambulance for her, which of course didn't work again because I had zero reception. I then had to call with my wife's phone (Salt). That's absolutely outrageous and something I've never heard of from Swisscom. But I never hear of such problems from other Sunrise customers either. Somehow Galaxus Mobile seems to be switching to a cheap Sunrise channel.
The plan is practically unusable for me, which is a pity. What annoys me is that Galaxus doesn't communicate more clearly what kind of network it really is.
As long as you don't get access to the 'real' Sunrise network, I can only advise everyone not to take out the Galaxus Mobile plan. However, the switch works without any problems and the website is very good and exemplary, but unfortunately it's no use without reception.

The service and support from Galaxus is and has always been impeccable. But the Sunrise network, or rather their mobile Internet, is the very worst!
I've had the plan for about a year now and every day I find dead spots and places where you feel like you've been transported back to the days of analogue modems - I've never experienced anything like it. And I switched from Salt and actually thought I had improved!
I've now got myself a Swisscom prepaid as a test and am using dual sim so that I'm sure I can be reached if I don't have a network in a really busy place. Now it's even more noticeable how bad it is.
I also think it's perfidious that the Internet in certain places is terrible even when I have 3-4 bars.
I now have 4 plans from Galaxus and the internet is equally slow with all of them. Tested on different phones. Including comparison to a Sunrise plan, which averages 70-80MBit with 4g and 450-500MBit with 5g, while the Galaxus Sim in the same place averages 7-12MBit with 4G!!!! And with 5G on 20-30MBit!!! Comes. Fuck off, Galaxus is taking the piss here!!! The plan will not be castrated.
The really positive thing is the price, which is unfortunately greatly relativised by this, as well as the unsatrified MultiSIM. And, and this is really great, the super great, friendly and helpful support from Digitec/Galaxus!
I've just switched from salt to Galaxus Mobile. On paper (i.e. the network coverage maps) Sunrise looks much better in my zone. In reality, the connection is much worse. I think I'm about to cancel again...

On paper, the Galaxus offer is extremely attractive, and in my opinion hard to beat: you get an unlimited 5G internet connection and 1GB of roaming, great flexibility in managing your subscription (you can cancel at any time in the first month, then 1 month after that), a sliding scale price when members join your 'Family' + a special student rate for those entitled to it, multi-SIM, etc.a sliding scale price when new members join the 'Family' + special student rate for those entitled, multi-SIM, and I'm not going to mention all the other positive aspects!
In reality, things are unfortunately very different... I am, and have always been, a very satisfied customer of Galaxus/Digitec services, but I can only admit with regret that this product is not at all operationally mature, at least as far as I'm concerned.
In fact, the transfer from my old telephone operator went off without a hitch, and getting to grips with the cockpit was also easy, so I immediately appreciated what Galaxus seemed to have put in place with their subscription. On the other hand, a huge BUT that is totally unacceptable is the 'Sunrise' network, or at least this curious imitation that is offered to us. The connection is generally good and stable in the city, but it becomes very poor or even completely unusable in my situation when you have the misfortune to venture outside the major conurbations (even when you have all the connection bars), on a daily basis, and it's sincerely frustrating...
For this price, I certainly don't expect to be able to watch an 8K video from the top of the Matterhorn and make a Face Time call with my cat, but I still think it's normal to have a sufficiently stable network that doesn't take us back to the time of the dinosaurs.
By the way, I'll let you judge for yourself a few connection tests I carried out on a Lausanne-Yverdon-les-Bains train journey (see photos)... And I'd like to reiterate that I encounter network holes practically every day.
That's why, as things stand, I absolutely cannot recommend this subscription to anyone who lives mainly in the Lausanne region or in the Nord Vaudois region, at the risk of losing a few moments of annoyance!
