The PoE adapter supplied with the EAP225-Outdoor is used to supply the device with power. However, you must connect an Ethernet cable from the router to the access point to establish the data connection. The PoE adapter is normally connected to the access point to provide power, while the Ethernet cable enables data transmission. The WLAN signal is then received and forwarded via the antennas of the access point.

Helpful answer

The TP-Link EAP225-Outdoor is not supplied with a standard mains adapter, but supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) and comes with a PoE adapter for the power supply. This enables flexible installation without an additional mains adapter.

Answer can only be with reservations. This WLAN access point has been working very well outside for me for 1 year. It has to travel 50 metres so that I can continue to use the Internet in the garage with the same access point. Everything is actually included. Of course, if you need longer IP cables (as flat as possible so that they can be easily laid from indoors to outdoors), that's extra. (PoE injection is included).

Both can have the same SSID, the channels just need to be set manually, and the distance between channels taken into account. e.g. channel 1 and channel 6 (2.4GHz band), etc. WiFi scanning is recommended in advance to avoid/minimise interference from other existing WiFi transmitters.

To configure this WLAN router, you should read the (small) manual. This device does not have a DHCP server, so the PC must be manually assigned an IP (e.g. 192.168.0.10), only then is 192.168.0.1 accessible. I have been using several such access points for years and they work wonderfully.

Hi Felix, as far as I can see so far, not in the classical sense. In my eyes, a LAN bridge describes my operating mode. I have also entered the data of my existing wlan in the TP-Link and it works wonderfully (going out of the house with the Natel). There doesn't seem to be any OpenWRT firmware yet.

According to our own research, the TP-LINK is connected to the router via LAN cable. Unfortunately, we cannot answer whether a connection via Devolo Magic is also sufficient, as we have never been able to try it out in such a form. But I'll gladly post it in the community, maybe a user can help you :)
