I have questions for the community. Would like to buy this monitor. However, I have always heard that defective monitors are returned during the warranty period and then sold as new after repair. Can that be the case with this monitor? And, what is the difference between this monitor (Ultra Sharp) and the same model without the Ultra Sharp designation? The Ultra Sharp model is delivered after 4 - 6 weeks. Does this mean that this monitor comes from Dell warehouse? And one last question: my current DELL laptop has a resolution of 1920 x 1080. I would connect the new monitor to my laptop, but I would leave the laptop itself closed and only work with the new monitor. Does this mean that I have the full resolution of the Ultra Sharp monitor? Does the resolution of my laptop play a role here? Thank you very much for the feedback!!!

This would be a refurbished model, if a monitor is sold as new, it must not have a warranty repair behind it. Ultra Sharp is more of a premium designation with better equipment and more functions, but some are also sharp without the addition. When the lid is closed or opened on the notebook, the full image is transmitted in full resolution via the external output, but I wouldn't take the monitor if the best resolution is to be used externally, a model with 3840 x 2160 pixels would be much better. The resolution of the notebook's built-in screen is irrelevant. However, it is advantageous for the notebook to have a DisplayPort or USB-C output, because some can only display 4K at 30 Hz via the HDMI output and this is jerky when scrolling up and down.
