The Kimya PEI-1010 filament is classified as a high-performance polymer and is primarily used in industries such as automotive and aerospace. PEI (Polyetherimide) belongs to the polyimide family. The material is often sold under the brand name "ULTEM." It consists of polymers with imide and ether groups in the main chains. The manufacturer of PEI or ULTEM is the Saudi Arabian company Sabic, which is part of Saudi Aramco. Kimya PEI-1010 is also based on original Sabic ULTEM material. In practice, this material is characterized by improved mechanical properties. PEI-1010 is resistant to UV radiation, abrasion, and solvents. At the same time, it exhibits very good dimensional stability. In addition to high temperature resistance, it is also compatible with the flame retardant certification UL94 V0.
