Electro-Harmonix Nano Q-Tron. Envelope Controlled Filter. A compact version of the classic Micro Q-Tron Envelope Controlled Filter, known for its organic, analog sound and expressiveness.
The Envelope Controlled Filter is a type of effect that goes beyond the mainstream, yet fits seamlessly into a variety of genres, being equally effective on guitar, bass, keyboards, horns, and more. Electro Harmonix has been a pioneer in this effect category, manufacturing Envelope Controlled Filter pedals since the 1970s. The Nano Q-Tron builds on this deep legacy. Here's how it works: The Nano Q-Tron responds to the playing style and dynamics of the user. The volume of the incoming signal (also referred to as the envelope) controls the cutoff or center frequency of a filter. This allows the Nano Q-Tron to produce tone-altering effects ranging from subtle to dynamic, from auto-wah to ultra-funky. It all depends on how you play, making it super interactive.
- Vol (Volume) knob that controls the output volume of the pedal
- Drive Control adjusts the sensitivity of the filter sweeps and how the pedal responds to the user's playing style
- Q Control sets the peak bandwidth of the filter, determining how subtle or dramatic the effect will be
- LP BP HP Mode Switch controls which frequency range is allowed through the filter. LP (Low Pass) emphasizes the lows, BP (Band Pass) the mids, and HP (High Pass) the highs
- Pedalboard-friendly, compact, rugged housing
- True Bypass circuitry
- Comes with a 9-volt battery and can also be powered with an optional 9-volt power supply.
