The Gryphon 4500 series impresses with its modern, elegant design and user-friendly ergonomics. Thanks to its innovative 2D imager that operates with warm white light, it quickly and securely captures both 1D and 2D codes. For reading smaller, short codes, there are HD models with high resolution, and for capturing digital watermark codes, variants with red light optics are available.

Equipped with Datalogic's Motionix motion sensor technology, the scanner automatically switches to handheld mode when picked up. Once placed back in the station, it reverts to presentation mode. The charging station is movable, allowing the scanner to be used as a presentation scanner while it is charging.

The wireless models are available with Bluetooth technology or narrowband radio based on Datalogic's STAR Cordless System. One of the key innovations for the Gryphon 4500 is the inductive charging technology, which ensures higher reliability and simultaneously reduces overall costs by eliminating maintenance and cleaning tasks on the contacts. The wireless models can be used in 24/7 operations without interrupting work processes for cleaning and maintenance.

For healthcare applications, the Gryphon 4500 imagers come with a special disinfectable, antimicrobial housing.
