The AirPods forever change the way you use headphones. When you take your AirPods out of the charging case, they turn on and connect to your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Watch. Audio starts playing automatically as soon as you put them in your ears and pauses when you take them out. To adjust the volume, skip a song, make a call, or get directions, simply activate Siri with a double tap.
The AirPods are powered by the specially designed Apple W1 chip, which uses optical sensors and an accelerometer to detect whether they are in your ears. The W1 chip automatically routes audio signals and activates the microphone, whether you are using one or both. When you are on a call or talking to Siri, an additional accelerometer with beamforming microphones filters out background noise and enhances your voice. Thanks to the extremely energy-efficient W1 chip, which manages battery life so well, the AirPods offer a remarkable playback time of up to 5 hours on a single charge. With the charging case providing multiple additional charges for a total of over 24 hours of playback, they easily keep up with everything you do. Need a quick charge? After just 15 minutes in the charging case, you can listen to 3 hours of music.

Apples Airpods überzeugen im Test mit hohem Tragekomfort, gutem bis sehr gutem Sound und einer erstklassigen Akkulaufzeit. Der Klang ist warm, voll und angenehm, lässt aber Spritzigkeit vermissen. Zu abgespeckt fällt jedoch das Bedienkonzept aus, am Kopfhörer lässt sich beispielsweise nicht einmal die Lautstärke ändern.
