Your own Stormtrooper army

Star Wars: Rogue One" tells the story of how the rebels obtained the plans for the Death Star. The losers are the Empire and the stormtroopers in particular. But if you have a soft spot for unsuccessful Stormtroopers, you can now buy yourself a small, almost life-size private army.
With their white plastic armour and helmets, the Stormtroopers from the Star Wars films are among the most iconic villains in film history. They are so popular that there is even a whole division of stormtroopers in Switzerland. The cosplayers from the 501st Legion - Vader's Finest also have a garrison in Switzerland. This garrison has now received reinforcements in Lucerne near the Chapel Bridge.

Maxi-figures for fans
However, the 108 units in Lucerne are not real people standing still in their armour despite the wind and weather, but Jakks Pacific's Maxi Action Figures.

The figures are 121cm tall, so almost life-size. Child stormtroopers, perhaps. Because if there's one thing we know from the latest film in the Star Wars saga, it's that the Stormtroopers were never clones. We also know that Finn (John Boyega) was separated from his family as a young child so that he could serve the Empire as a soldier. So the little Stormtroopers are entirely plausible. We also know that Stormtroopers sometimes have to operate in Death Star corridors, for which they are simply too big, as can be seen in the following video. Watch out for the Stormtrooper on the right-hand side of the screen.
However, a 121 cm tall Darth Vader is less plausible. But you can still have him, because someone has to lead the Stormtroopers.
Rogue One is coming
Despite the fame the Stormtroopers enjoy in the universe of the films and in our world, they have one flaw: they hit practically nothing. One hundred Stormtroopers vs. one Luke Skywalker and Skywalker emerges unscathed from the multi-hour battle. Their aim is slightly better in "The Force Awakens", as they hit at least one of their victims in the first scene of the film, but still, they have a heavy cross to bear.
Maybe, however, they will rise to fame in the new film, "Rogue One". The film, which takes place between Episodes III and IV - the first Star Wars film ever made - depicts the war in Star Wars. If we can believe the trailer, at least.
Okay, there may be one or two scenes in which two rebels defeat what feels like a million Stormtroopers without getting a scratch themselves. But hope dies last!
But still, we're looking forward to Rogue One! May the Force be with us!
