The colour appears in various shades and with different surface structures. According to Caran d'Ache, it is intended to evoke the infinity of the universe and create a magical atmosphere.

Caran d'Ache uses high-quality materials such as aluminium to give the writing instruments an elegant look and a pleasant feel. Ballpoint pen 849

According to Caran d'Ache, the metal barrel of the 849 biros is reminiscent of the surface of the moon. It is available in midnight blue or gold.

The biros has a hexagonal barrel made from lightweight, robust aluminium. The barrel is also characterised by a random surface finish called Towalisation: In this process, the raw barrels are placed in mixers with metal parts to achieve a randomised surface finish. Finally, they are coated with clear lacquer.

The blue model has the clip and button painted in midnight blue, while the gold-plated model has the clip and button made of velour chrome. The ballpoint pens each have a Goliath refill in black. According to Caran d'Ache, this is sufficient for writing up to 600 A4 pages. The refillable pens measure 182 × 65 × 24 millimetres and weigh 90 grams.

Ecridor ballpoint pen

According to the manufacturer, the engraving masters were inspired by the planets of the solar system when creating the guilloché pattern on the Ecridor biros. The biros is 129 millimetres long and has a diameter of eight millimetres. It weighs 26 grams and has a hexagonal shape. The Ecridor has a Goliath refill in black and is also designed to write 600 pages.

The scope of delivery also includes a leather case in midnight blue. This is made of grained cowhide on the outside and has a metallic blue design on the inside, which is based on the appearance of the Milky Way. The case also has blue lurex stitching. It measures 16 x 3.6 centimetres and weighs 14 grams. The biros and case come in a special gift box.
