Laura's Likes: 7 alternatives to the Adidas Samba on sale
Few trainers are currently as hard to find as the Samba from Adidas. Do you still urgently want to bed your feet in simple retro aesthetics? You'll find what you're looking for here.
What Neo is to the Matrix, the Adidas Samba has been to the sneaker world for a few months now: the Chosen One. It's everywhere. In magazines, on the streets, on Instagram and Pinterest - but unfortunately not in the shops. Because thanks to the amazing hype - and our relentless desire to be part of it - the shoe is almost constantly on sale. Online and offline.
What makes it so special? First produced in 1949, the Samba impresses with its indoor shoe aesthetic, is simple, retro, unisex and is characterised by the colour-contrasting sole and a (usually also contrasting) application on the toe cap.

If you've acquired a taste for it by now, I only have three things to say. Firstly: Sorry! Secondly: Welcome to the club! And thirdly: There is hope! In the form of these seven samba alternatives that are at least as cool, retro and hype-worthy as the coveted original. With the added bonus that you're guaranteed to meet fewer people on the street wearing the same model. Not such a bad prospect, is it?
Always in the mood for good hits, great trips and clinking drinks.
