Four non-alcoholic sparkling wines for Dry January
Alcohol-free is the trend, and alternatives without alcohol are easy to find. I recently tried four sparkling wines and realised that there is something for every taste.
Colleague Philipp Rüegg recently wrote about his life without alcohol, colleague Stefanie Lechthaler tried her hand at alcohol-free mulled wine and now I'm riding the wave too. I tasted four alcohol-free sparkling wines from two producers at the last office apero and was amazed to discover that there seems to be something for everyone.
Kylie
In addition to perfume, the Australian singer Kylie Minogue now also creates wine, sparkling wine and non-alcoholic Prosecco. One rosé, one white. Both have a very floral flavour and are rather sweet, but not as sweet as grape juice or rimus. A fine perlage rounds off the non-alcoholic experience.

Azzerio
The company Azzerio also has a rosé and a white sparkling wine on sale. Both are dry, which I personally like a little better than Kylie's. This is somewhat at the expense of the flavours. In terms of flavour, I hardly noticed any difference between the rosé and the white sparkling wine. Both have a pleasant acidity, which ensures that I barely miss the alcohol.

When I flew the family nest over 15 years ago, I suddenly had to cook for myself. But it wasn’t long until this necessity became a virtue. Today, rattling those pots and pans is a fundamental part of my life. I’m a true foodie and devour everything from junk food to star-awarded cuisine. Literally. I eat way too fast.
