5 reasons why Lego's "Disney Princess" series is also fun for big girls

Disney's Lego worlds inspire young and old alike. I belong in the second category and will give you five reasons why you, as an adult, should also enjoy the underwater world of Ariel the Mermaid.
A wave of happiness ran through me when I got my hands on the "Ariel and the Spell" add-on set from Lego. It complemented the fantastic underwater castle that I already owned. Essentially, this means that I am now able to re-enact the scene in which Ariel is transformed into a human by the evil sea witch Ursula. Cool, isn't it? [[productlist:6284843]]
If you answered the question with an exuberant "yes, absolutely", thank you from the bottom of my heart. If not, this is my attempt to convert you today. So here are my five reasons why "Lego Disney Princess" can also bring joy to adults.

1. your friends always have something to laugh about
Every time friends come to visit me, it happens: Their eyes fall on my prominently placed collection of Lego Disney Princess sets. Their eyes lift again and you can see a smile on their faces that tells me I'm about to make a "mega funny" remark. After all, I'm 25 years old and therefore definitely too old to be playing with these Lego sets, which are supposedly only intended for children aged 5-12. After all, it's not written in big numbers directly under the red Lego logo on the packaging for nothing. And then I can explain myself: Mega Disney fan meets building fun. All right?

2. Relaxing has never been easier
The colourful blocks and simple building instructions help me to relax completely. By devoting myself (offline!) to something simple, keeping my hands busy and letting my mind wander, I can really switch off. And as detailed as the sets are designed, you're left with a slightly dropped jaw and a fascinated look in your eyes when you've finished building. At least that's how it is for me.

3. you can travel back in time to your childhood
While putting it together, you feel like you've travelled back to your childhood. Fortunately for me, this is associated with positive and carefree memories
.

4. You always discover something new
Adjustable sliding doors, rotating mechanisms and hidden treasures are just some of the cleverly thought-out details. Incidentally, when my friend looked over my shoulder while I was building it, he was shocked at how ornate the scenery was. He wasn't used to that with Lego. And that's exactly why I love Lego. There's something for everyone. For me, it's the fabulously beautiful dream worlds in which the Disney princesses have created their paradise.

5. Your little cousins always have something to play with
As big as my family is, there are about eight children at every family get-together I organise. And children love Lego. So you can keep them occupied and in check for a good while. Even if I almost always wet my pants, an abnormally important part could get lost while playing. But risks are there to be taken.

Bad news at the end: The underwater castle mentioned at the beginning is unfortunately no longer for sale. Here, however, you can find other beautiful Disney Princess models.

As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
