10 necklaces I’d give my mum for Mother’s Day

Having to buy a gift just because it’s a commercial holiday is nonsense. However, when it comes to Mother’s Day, I’m in.
I never remember commercial holidays such as Mother’s Day early enough. I usually get blindsided by it a few days in advance on social media or when I walk past a store window. I then panic and get a last-minute gift. And even though I find this compulsion to consume pretty stupid, I must admit being reminded to give our mums a little treat can’t be a bad thing. But if you do, do it right.
This year, Mother’s Day on is on Sunday 8 May. That doesn’t apply to every country in the world, but to Switzerland. Even if you’re desperate, don’t get a flower bouquet at a petrol station or a box of chocolates at a kiosk. There’s still enough time to order something nice. My advice? Give you mum a necklace. That’s the most uncomplicated item of jewellery, in my opinion. On top of this, you don't even need to browse through the huge selection in our online shop. I’ve already done that and picked out ten great ones that I’d give to my beloved mum in a heartbeat. The best thing? They all cost less than 200 francs.
1. The classic gift
The asymmetrical shape and zircon accent make this classic heart-shaped pendant look unconventional.

2. Many colourful zircons
These pastel coloured gemstones spread a happy summer atmosphere.
3. Organically shaped
Irregular shapes are a hot topic in the jewellery world right now. No wonder – they look dynamic and unaffected.
4. Pearl necklace 2.0
Pearl necklaces are great – but also predictable. These freshwater pearls joined by gold-plated sterling silver elements give this classic piece a modern twist.
5. Versatile basic
This necklace looks pretty on its own, but can also be customised with
other components from the «Pandora Me» to match your mum’s taste.
6. Stargazing
This little pearl night sky is perfect for daydreamers.
7. A cute symbol
Turtles symbolise Mother Earth and represent longevity.
8. Subtle splash of colour
The royal blue zircon adds a small but subtle colour highlight and is a great choice if your mum doesn’t wear colourful jewellery often.
9. Delicate and refined
This necklace is studded with different sized zircons and can be threaded in the front, making it stand out from the crowd.
10. My personal favourite
The combination of the iridescent grey mother-of-pearl clover leaf and the gold-plated brass chain has a particularly noble effect. It’s also reminiscent of the ultra-expensive jewellery created by Van Cleef & Arpels.
