Rex-Royal
In the early years after its foundation in 1937, the company Holzgas-Generatoren Zürich had nothing to do with coffee machines. It was only a few years later that the company's founder Heinrich Gertsch developed the first filter devices under the name "Bravilor". Later in the 1960s, HGZ also produced multi-group piston and filter coffee machines for the catering industry under the name "Royal". In 1969, the product range was expanded through the acquisition of the Swiss fully automatic coffee machine manufacturer "Rex".
A few years later, the brand name "Rex-Royal" was created, which is still valid today. After the takeover by Peter and Verena Sager-Gertsch, the company grew continuously and the production site in Zurich-Affoltern had to be abandoned due to lack of space. In 1987, the newly built company headquarters in Dällikon near Zurich was inaugurated, which is still the manufacturing site for the professional fully automatic coffee machines today.
As a family-owned company, Rex-Royal is proud to maintain and further expand the entire development and manufacturing in Dällikon near Zurich for decades. The production location in Switzerland is an essential factor to ensure the high quality standard of their products.
Swiss values such as reliability, accuracy and quality of workmanship characterize their coffee machines, all of which bear the "Made in Switzerland" label.
